This program introduces students to the procedures and skills found in the school bus driving industry while preparing students to obtain a Class B bus CDL with school bus certification and endorsements.
The course consists of classroom, lab, range and on the road experience, and covers topics in basic operations, safe operating practices, advanced operating practices, vehicle maintenance, and non-vehicle activities.

Mandatory Informational Meeting:
Join us Wednesday January 31st at 7:30 PM to learn how you can become a school bus driver. Meeting will be held at SHS in Room 205.
You must attend this meeting to register for the class. Call: 559-524-7775 to register for this meeting.
Prior to start of class, you are required to bring in a DMV H-6 print out. DMV charges $5.00 for the printout.
After you have successfully passed the classroom instruction component, you will need to pay for tests, license, and fingerprints. Estimated costs for tests, license and finger prints may come to $170.00. Finally, you will need to pass a physical. Cost for physical will vary with each individual.
Behind-the-Wheel Training will start after you have successfully completed your classroom training, earned your license, passed all of your tests and had a physical. All will be explained at the informational meeting.
