Phlebotomy Technician
Train to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting
Over the course of the program, students will receive on-the-job training that includes drawing blood samples from patients, producing quality laboratory results, gaining the trust and confidence of patients and much more. The program includes 70 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour clinical phlebotomy externship. The program will prepare students to take the national Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam with National Healthcareer Association that is included with this course.
Sanger Adult School is offering this program in partnership with CalRegional. This program satisfies all training guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health – Laboratory Field Services (LFS). Students Completing the program with 80% or above and successfully completing their externship will receive a certificate of completions from CalRegional.

Requirements
18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent.
